Head Coach: Brandon Eaket

Coach Eaket joins us with a wealth of knowledge and experience having been part of the Predators Organization for 6 years,  holding positions  as Assistant Head Coach/ Recruiter/Offensive Coordinator and receivers coach with both the Jr and Sr Varsity programs.
Coach Eaket  is a proud Predator alumni,  having played Preds for 4 years, winning OFC Varisty Championships  both as a player and a coach.  His passion and dedication to growing youth football in our region, prompted him to join other Predators coaches at Eastwood High School, where he helped coach their Varsity team.

A Waterloo University graduate, Coach Eaket played slot back with the Warriors for 4 years and has continued being involved with their program as a volunteer coach.  With his strong ties to the Warrior program, Eaket has developed friendships and connections with a large network of Warrior players and coaches many of whom will be part of his Predators coaching staff for 2017.
Outside of football, Coach Eaket has shown strong commitment to community involvement for which he has won several awards and acknowledgements, including Kitchener Youth Action Council Award , Community Caregiver Award and Kitchener Record’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.  He has also served as a volunteer Head Coach of the special needs hockey program the  Kitchener Ice Pirates for 5 years.  Eaket’s desire to give back to the community was a driving force in his decision to become a police officer.

Coach Eaket brings fresh enthusiasm to the Predator program and we embrace his energy, drive and vision to developing  the Varsity team and preparing for a successful 2017 season.

Coaching Staff

Offensive Coordinator: James Fracas

James, a native of Waterloo, first started playing football for the SJAM Highlanders and went on to play with the Predators winning an OFC Championship in 2011.

James was recruited by Laurier and during his tenure as quarterback for the Golden Hawks he won several awards such as: OUA Player of the Week, Offensive Player of the Year (Laurier Team Award) and was selected to play in the East-West game which showcases the best U Sports players in Canada.

However without success in the classroom, none of these achievements would have been possible. Over James 5 year career at Laurier he achieved Academic All-Canadian status from 2012-2015 and also was awarded the James Fusco award which represents the athlete who best exemplifies both academic as well as athletic achievement.

James was also selected to participate in the CFL Hamilton Tiger Cats training camp for Canadian quarterbacks. This incredible opportunity was covered by the Kitchener Record here:

Receivers Coach: Connor Lanteigne

Connor Lanteigne joins the 2017 Predators Varsity team as wide receiver coach. At 22 years old he has recently completed his football playing career. After beginning playing football in high school for the Golden Gaels at Cameron Heights Collegiate, he and his teams reached 4 WCSSA finals and 1 WCSSA championship. Connor also played for Team Ontario West at the 2011 Canada Football Cup in Lethbridge, AB as one of six receivers who made up the team. His playing career with the Predators began in the 2011 season and featured a total of 4 OFC championship appearances and 2 OFC titles. He signed with the Waterloo Warriors in 2013 and played 3 seasons.

Connor began coaching with the Predators in 2014 as a receivers coach. He has also previously held the positions of offensive coordinator of Cameron Heights Collegiate's junior team as well as offensive assistant for the Gaels' senior team.

O-Line Coach: Cameron Wilhelm

Cameron Wilhelm is a former Predator who played 10 years for Twin Cities. Cameron was a 2011 Senior Varsity Champion with the Predators. Cameron went on to enjoy an outstanding career at the University of Guelph starting 4 years on their O-Line. As a result of his hard work and dedication Cameron was named an OUA Allstar and was a Yates Cup Champion

 

 

O-Line Coach: Justin Maloney

This will be Justins second year with the predators as an Offensive Line coach. He have spent the last 8 years at Glendale Secondary in Hamilton as player and coach. Coach began coaching the Glendale JV team in 2008 as an assistant Offensive and Defensive line coach. In 2011 he became the Offensive Coordinator for both the JV and Varsity teams. Justin helped his team reach the semi finals in 6 straight seasons with championship appearance in 2013, And 5 straight JV championships. In 2014 Justin became the Head coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Varsity Steelers as part of the OMFL. He further finished my playing career in 2014 after 3 seasons with the Burlington Braves in the CJFL.

Defensive Coordinator: Brandon Seip

This season will be Brandon's first season as Defensive Coordinator for the Predators. Coach Seip spent 5 seasons as defensive backs coach for the Senior Varsity Predators and has spent many years with the Predators organization. As a player, he spent 4 seasons with the Senior and Junior Varsity Predators as a defensive back, winning 2 championships, prior to moving on to spend 3 more seasons playing in the CJFL.

D-Line Coach / Strength & Conditioning: Braden Southern

Braden played 5 years at Forest Heights Collegiate and was a 2 time team captain and second team WCCSSAA all-star. He then moved on to UW where he played defensive line for 2 seasons and captained for 1.

He also coached the Defensive Line for the 2014 WCSSAA all-star game.

Since retiring from football, Braden has become a strength coach with Depth Training, helping numerous high level athletes reach their athletic potential. He has also become a successful powerlifter, finishing 4th in the 105kg class at the 2016 OPA junior provincial championships with a total of 672.5kg

D-Line Coach: Matt Armstrong

This will be Matt's first season with the Predator program. Matt comes from Chaminade High School in Toronto where his school was dominate in football and produced multiple NCAA and CIS players. During university at Wilfred Laurier Brantford, Matt coached O-Line and D-Line at Assumption in Brantford. Matt will be coaching both sides of the ball for the Predators in 2017!

Linebackers/Fullbacks Coach: CJ Smith

CJ played 5 years of football at SJAM, 7 season with the Predatorss, and 3 seasons with University of Waterloo. During that time CJ was part of 3 WCSSAA championship teams, and 1 OFC varsity championship team. CJ played both linebacker and running back during his career. CJ spent the 2016 season coaching at WCI.

 

 

Stats and Film: Andrew Dixon

Coach Andrew Dixon will be entering his Second Year at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo studying Communication Studies with a Minor in Statistics. After a successful playing career, Coach Dixon is excited to begin his coaching career with the Varsity Predators as a Film and Stats Coordinator. Coach Dixon won several high school awards in football for his play on both the offensive and defensive lines with his leadership skills identified as a 3 year captain. He has also won one rep football championship as a player. Coach Dixon brings a passion for the game and a desire to get the Predators deep into the playoffs.
